Richmond police detectives have identified the victim of a homicide that occurred on Midlothian Turnpike on Thursday.

At approximately 12:45 a.m., officers were called to the 3600 block of Midlothian Turnpike for the report of a shooting. Inside a vehicle at the scene, officers found a man with an apparent gunshot wound.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified Friday as Anthony Bagby, 60, of Henrico.

The medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
