SUMMARY

An aerospace manufacturing company is searching for a dynamic and seasoned Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is ready to build a great foundation and lead the company's plans for growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• A strong finance and accounting background with proven success in managing all functions of a finance organization
• Deep and extensive knowledge of finance and accounting for Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Customer Service and Aftermarket
• Thorough understanding of FAR/DFAR and other government laws and regulations. Experience with DCAA/DCMA and other government audits.
• Experience with a variety of contract types and customers in government contracting
• Hands-on and detail-oriented
• Able to develop and nurture effective relationships at all levels of the organizations
• Capable of establishing a trusting relationship with the private equity investor
• Flexible, nimble and adaptive
• Works well under pressure, tight deadlines and competing priorities
• Leads by example
• An exceptional ability to identify, recruit, motivate, coach and develop his/ her team
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills both oral and written; a boardroom presence and ability to communicate effectively with external constituents
• Unquestionable business ethics, personal integrity and moral stance
• High energy with a “fire in the belly” and a passion for the product; desire and ability to ignite and rally the troops
• Must have executive presence and be able to convey confidence when delivering information about the company’s financials

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree and 15 years of finance experience in roles of increasing responsibility. Undergraduate degree from a top 25 college or university; MBA preferred.
• Must have served as standalone CFO with full cash management responsibilities.
• Industry background in Manufacturing (Aerospace, Heavy Machinery, Automotive or similar industries).
• Experience in both large and small organizations and substantial experience as the finance leader during a major restructuring / turnaround.
