About residence
Campus Zonnelaan is a modern student complex incorporating 284 self-contained studios. The residences of this building are semi-furnished and equipped with all needed amenities for your home, from a built-in fridge to a combi microwave-oven and an electric cooker. Each residence comes with pre-installed black-out curtains and vinyl flooring.
Campus Zonnelaan houses a vibrant community of students, which you are welcome to meet on the sunny rooftop terrace or in the spacious meeting room. Both common areas are fully equipped with large tables and lounge sets for studying or simply for relaxation. The rooftop terrace has an amazing 300m2 and comes with great views over the city of Groningen.
The campus also includes a common launderette with several washing machines and dryers, as well as 22 parking spots and 4 different bicycle sheds.
This 10-storey building can be found in the neighborhood of Paddelpoel, on the corner of Zonnelaan and Grote Beerstraat.
Location
Campus Zonnelaan has a great location nearby the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. The Paddelpoel shopping center including more than 80 different shops can also be found just within walking distance. The city center can be easily reached within 10 minutes by bike, providing the residents of this campus with endless possibilities in terms of amenities; from shops and specialty stores, to restaurants, clubs, and other activities and sports.

Requirements
General requirements
This studio is offered with a campus contract. To be eligible to book this residence, you must be a student and provide us with a proof of enrolment at a Dutch educational institution for the current year. You can upload this document after you have made the booking.
You can only live in the studio as long as you are a student. Every year in September, we ask you to upload your proof of enrolment (for that year) to verify your student status. If you are no longer a student, you have to move within 6 months. You can stay until the end of March at the latest.
To rent this residence, you have to register in the Basisregistratie Personen (Personal Records Database) at the municipality.
Income requirements
You can book this residence as a student. You need to provide us with a proof of enrolment at a Dutch educational institution for the current year. You can upload this document after making the booking.

This includes an advance payment for water, electricity, flooring, curtains, lights, internet & TV. Every year in July, we will send a settlement bill of the utility costs from the previous year. Please note that heating is not included. You need to arrange this yourself with Warmtestad.

- In order to confirm your booking, you need to pay €200. This amount serves as a partial deposit payment. You need to pay the remainder of deposit after signing your contract

If you are 23 years or older, you might be eligible for housing allowance as the sum of the basic rent and service costs of this residence is less than €879.66.
The amount of housing allowance that you might receive, depends on your age, your yearly gross income, and the amount of your savings. If you are entitled to the maximum amount of housing allowance € 366, the basic rent of this residence will amount to €223.
