Looking for green unicorn poop cupcakes or shamrock-shaped key lime pie with a side of quinoa for your vegan St. Patrick’s Day feast?

Then head to another list because we’re aiming for nearly authentic Irish recipes here, for St. Patrick’s day or to enjoy year-round!

The only reason they are “nearly” authentic is because I can’t think of a single Irish recipe that is vegan (and I’m Irish), so a few tweaks have been put in place.

Out with the butter, milk, cream, and meat, in with the veggie goodness.

From breakfast, before you go to watch the St. Patrick’s parade, to a big lunch before heading out to meet friends at the pub, and finally dinner and some fun treats, I’ve got your Paddy’s day covered.

And for drinks, beer, Guinness, stout, and lager are the drinks of choice at pubs around Ireland on St. Patrick’s day (all colored green and your teeth end up green as well!): Having said that a good vegan Baileys Irish cream or a boozy shamrock shake certainly wouldn’t go amiss…

Breakfast

Vegan sausages, fake bacon, grilled tomatoes, fried mushrooms, baked beans, boxty, toasted soda bread, or potato farls…Drool. Of course, you could always go for a healthier Irish breakfast and get some nutritious vegan porridge (oatmeal) into you.
